About the Show
About the Arizona Copper Classic
The Arizona Copper Classic is a natural bodybuilding, physique, figure, and bikini competition held every year in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Now in its 44th year, the show has been a fixture of the Southern Arizona fitness community since 1983 and is sanctioned by the INBA (International Natural Bodybuilding Association) and PNBA (Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association).
This website is the official home of the event. Athletes can register for the competition, pay entry fees online or in person at Summit Fitness, and review the divisions and categories offered, including bodybuilding, classic physique, men's physique, figure, bikini, and teen and masters divisions. Spectators can buy tickets, see the show-day schedule, and find directions to the venue.
The Copper Classic is designed for competitors of every experience level who train and compete drug-free. All athletes are drug tested, and the show is a pro-qualifying event, meaning top finishers can earn their INBA/PNBA pro card. Families, friends, trainers, and fans are all welcome to attend and cheer on the athletes.
The show is produced by the team at Summit Fitness in Sierra Vista, led by promoter Chris Betancourt. Contestant check-in takes place on Friday evening at 6:00PM at Summit Fitness, 934 E Fry Blvd, followed by pre-judging on Saturday morning at 10:00AM and the finals show that evening at the Buena High School Performing Arts Center.
The 2027 show takes place on Saturday, March 20th, 2027. Athletes who register before the early deadline receive a custom T-shirt and a free all-access back-stage pass for their trainer. Membership in the INBA is required to compete, and a competition card can be purchased directly from the INBA website.
Whether you are stepping on stage for the first time or returning to defend a title, the Copper Classic offers a professional, welcoming, and well-run production. Browse our photo galleries from past years to see what the experience is like, then register to join us.
